General Meeting Thursday, July 6 1:00 p.m. meeting is our summer picnic/potluck. 7:00 p.m. meeting will be snacks or desserts instead of the full meal. The entertainment will be for participants to bring their first-made quilt and their last-made quilt for show and tell. It will be fun to see how we have progressed.
Deb Karasik will host a lecture and trunk show at the 1 and 7 p.m. meetings this month. Originally from San Francisco, Deb is now based in Durham, North Carolina. Our very own MVQG member, Carol Brooks, is our March Program on Tuesday, March 7th. She will judge quilts that she is seeing for the first time, explaining judging criteria as she goes. Carol’s love of quilting began in 1999. As she grew in skill and exposure, she became interested in the judging process, and this led her to the National Quilting Association’s judging program in 2007. Quilts of Valor Sew Day The February Guild program will be a sew-in lead by Terri Austin, Quilts of Valor coordinator. Blocks have been cut and are ready to sew.
