Ilene Bartos is our lecturer/teacher for the August 1st Guild meetings. She has been working with fiber arts and quilting for almost 20 years, designing both traditional and art quilts.
Ilene will present two different lectures. The 1:00 p.m. lecture will be “My Quilting Journey” – a trunk show about how she went from traditional quilting to art quilting. The 7:00 p.m. lecture is “Borders, Sashings and More” – a trunk show with discussion about how to add interest to your quilts through use of borders and sashings.
Ilene is especially fond of trees and leaves and enjoys working with abstract designs and shapes. Her works have hung in galleries and shows and she has won various awards and has written two books.
Visitors are welcome at our General Meetings on Tuesday, August 1st. There is a $5 charge for non-members.
